Fabrication of cornstarch biopolymer-derived nano porous carbon as electrode material for supercapacitor application

Abstract Porous carbon is prepared from the cornstarch biopolymer by simple carbonization process initially at 800 °C. This sample has been activated gasification with help of oxidizing gas and reaction certain chemicals for its pore development. The final product then characterized techniques like XRD, RAMAN, BET, TGA, FESEM, EDX to study all behavior. results these characterizations have thoroughly studied in Sect. 3. used as an electrode material decorate supercapacitor 1 mg coating. Polymer electrolyte film PVDF-HFP doped 300 wt% 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium tricyanomethanide (TCM) (optimized better conductivity) ionic liquid a separator. A device fabricated laboratory scale porous electrodes sandwiched which yield specific capacitance 188.4 F/gm 10 mHz confirmed electrochemical low-frequency impedance spectroscopy plot. Cyclic voltammetry were also measured, yielding high 184.8 5 mV/s.
